Family Roots

Rooted in the Earth, Built by Generations

A yellow John Deere tractor with black tires is loaded onto a flatbed trailer. Three people are standing next to it, posing for the photo. The background shows trees and part of a residential neighborhood under a cloudy sky.

One might say dirt is in my blood. I grew up in it, I play in it, I work in it.

For as long as I can remember, dirt has been a part of my life. I still remember my dad bringing home a backhoe to pull a stump from our front yard when we lived in a little trailer house. Not long after, he started the original Fineline Excavating.

When I was 14, he was injured and could no longer continue the business — but I always knew I’d find my way back to it.

Fast forward about 20 years, and Fineline 2.0 was born.
